The Pyramid of Success #25: Patience

Quote: "Good things take time" 

Everyone is able to develop patience. The only problem is that not many people try to develope this characteristic. Patience is something that every one should develope. This specific characteristic will help you stay away from trouble. For instance, if you dont have patience and you get angry at others, they will also get upset and that can lead to a big problem. Patience will help you get along with others. You will be able to listen to what other have to say and not only listen to your opinion. When you are able to accept delays of others and be patient then you have developed a good characteristic. Without patience you will be irritated most of the time. I will make sure to apply this block to my life by making sure that I am patient when waiting in line for someone or something. I will make sure to tell others to make sure to accept things the way they are. Finally, I will make that while I apply this block to my life i will keep it there forever.

The Pyramid of Success #23: Integrity

Quote: "It's the purity of intention"

The integrity of someone's actions towards others will show how truthful they are. When you want someone to show you integrity, you have to show integrity back. For instance, you are able to show your integrity by being honest and have strong moral principles. By doing these simple things you are able to show someone integrity. Those people that carry this characteristic have a good sense of good work. They are able to accomplish work without any hassle or worries. They show that everyone is able to challenge themselves in a way that they are able to do something good for someone else. Integrity also means making the right decisions. If you are able to make the right decisions in any circumstances you have integrity towards yourself. In other words you are honest to yourself. I will make sure to apply integrity into my life by being more truthful to others and myself. I will also recommend that my family and friends take integrity into consideration. 

The Pyramid of Success #22: Competitive Greatness

Quote: "Be at your best when your best is needed. Enjoyment of a difficult challenge."

Being competitive in ones life can bring them competitive greatness. If someone likes to challenge themselves, that means that they are capable to work with challenges in their way. People like this are able to work with others without any problem. They are also able to work under pressure. Things like presentations will be simple for a person with competitive greatness. Instead of being you best sometimes, be the best you can at every moment of your life. This will show that you have the confidence to show who you really are. Expressing your competitiveness will show that you strive for greatness. When people see this characteristic in someone they often call them when they need help or when there is a group project. When you enjoy a challenge that you are not used to, it shows that you are also able to adapt to others situations or the situations of the the assignment. I will apply competitive greatness in my life by challenging myself when I have another project to do. I will also be at my best behavior and be competitive at all times.

The Pyramid of Success #21: Fight

Quote: "Fight with a determined effort"

This block from the pyramid of success is needed for many people in this world. It is vital that people have this characteristic. Many people don't realize that fighting is something that many people don't have, but really need. In order to fight for something, you need to have determination and dedication towards that specific thing your fighting for. With dedication and determination you are able to not give up and fight til the end. Fighting for someone or something shows that you really care about that something. For instance, if you were trying to fight for your diploma, that means that you know it is vital and necessary for the success in ones life. I will apply this block into my life by fighting for something like my high school diploma. I will apply this block to pass my senior defense and try my hardest my last days of high school. I will also suggest to family members and friends to fight for something that they love. By applying this block to others it will be able to show them to fight harder and stronger. This is by far the most meaningful block in the pyramid of success in my perspective. 

The Pyramid of Success #19: Confidence

Quote: "Through preparation breeds confidence."

Confidence is a block that I have applied to my life already. I use my confidence to help other boost up their confidence. There is two types of confidence. The confidence in trusting someone else and the feeling you have a person to embrace who you truly are. Both of these definitions that express the meaning of confidence are vital to have in ones everyday life. For instance, you need to have the confidence to go into a job interview. Although it is something that is scary at first, you need to be able to have the confidence to do that to get income. When you find who you truly are, then you are able to be confident in any situation life throws your way. Youll be able to express who you truly are where ever you are. I will continue to help others apply this block to their life by giving a push towards confidence. I have confidence, I am able to have more in my life. I will make sure that I push myself to be more like how I am and not how others perceive me to be like. 

The Pyramid of Success #18: Poise

Quote: "Just being yourself. Begin at ease in any situation."

Being poise is a vital block that everyone needs in their life. When poise is used in ones life you are able to see their confidence more often. Poise can also refer to balance in life. Meaning that you need to balance out your responsibilities to your hobbies. You need to do your responsibilities first in order to do something on your spare time like your hobbies. When you are able to separate these two things then you will be able to do what you have to do first and what you can do on your spare time. Another thing that poise can refer to is the way you behave. When poise refers to behavior, the behavior must be graceful and mature. When someones behavior is poise they are able to be mature in any situation. The way that I will be able to apply this block into my life is by organizing and separating my responsibilities to my hobbies. Also, I am able to be more poise by being more mature for certain situations. Finally, I will tell family and friends about how a poise behavior is a good train to have. 

The Power of Resourcefulness

Jennifer Witterick

The speech that Jennifer Witterick gave to her audience and our class mates made me realize the true meaning of resourcefulness. She expressed resourcefulness in may ways. She related to resourcefulness clearly because of her own struggles and goals she has gone though in her life.

 After I heard the speech she gave to her audience and our class it changed my perspective. Not only the perspective of resourcefulness, but also the perspective of gratefulness. Jennifer Witterick gave something to the whole world. She didn't give us only a marvelous story, she also gave to children that weren't able to afford books. She also gave back to medical research that is much needed in our world. 

We have nothing but yo be grateful for her resourcefulness and also her gratefulness. Jennifer also gave us advice such as, "If you have a dream, look within yourself. Thats where resourcefulness resides". With the speech she gave hope to those who easily give up and not look after their dreams. She didn't only help her and her family. She also helped the world by giving to charity and also by making an exceptional book.

The Pyramid of Success #17: Resourcefulness 

Quote: "Make the most out of what you have." 

Resourcefulness is a block that should be in everyone daily life. It is important to be grateful in life because you are able to be resourceful for your own benefit, but also someone else benefit. Resourcefulness can also mean that you are capable of thinking of different ways to overcome a dilemma.  Usually resourcefulness with others can lead to new ideas and intellectual thoughts about different situations. You need to be able to brainstorm with others because it is part of life. For instance, when your working with your classmates on a group project. Its also good to have the mindset of someone that is resourceful.  The reason being is because resourceful people have goals. If you dont have any goals in life what is there to do? You need to have goals in order to keep yourself occupied. Every goal that you set has a reward. Those who are resourceful are able to obtain those rewards and continue to set new goals. I will add this block to my life by applying resourcefulness into my mindset for every single assignment or goal that I have in the future. 

The Pyramid of Success #16: Honesty 

Honesty is the block in any relationship or friendship. With honesty you are able to have new relationships and friendships with people you relate to. You have to be honest to yourself by making the right choices. If you don't have the honesty to tell someone the truth you shouldn't work on having a friendship with someone. Honesty can also be work related. For instance, if you see your co-worker doing something that isn't work related, you have to be honest and tell your supervisor. Also, in school you have to be honest. As a student you have to be truthful to yourself by not cheating or copying any work from your classmates. This also implies to tests and projects. Everyone needs to have the chance to be a willing collaborator in every project that the group is given. I will make sure to apply this block in my life by making sure that all my friendships are only based on honesty. Also, I will also make sure i pass this block down to my family and friends.
